Gandhinagar, Thursday: Director General of Police Mr. Shivanand Jha assured that the state government is taking all necessary steps to save people from Covid-19 and its transmission. Police and health workers are risking their lives to ensure the safety of citizens.
        Passes have been issued for the people associated with essential services. Police will not stop such individuals but will always ask for their pass. Strict actions will be taken against individuals who use fake pass. An offense has also been registered in connection with a fake pass at Maninagar police station in Ahmedabad.
        In addition, 26 crimes have been registered for curfew breach and 28 individuals have been arrested.
       Detailing about the seized vehicles Mr. Jha said that authority to release the seized vehicles has now been given to the head constable level police personnel at the police headquarters and the citizens are not facing any problem.So far 31879 vehicles seized in connection with lockdown breach have been released.
         Detaining on the Sura group other than the tablighi jamaat Mr. Jha said that, 3 cases have been registered for lockdown breach, two persons from Mehsana and one from Gandhinagar have been booked and a health checkup is also being conducted today. So far, six offenses have been registered against the persons who have violated lockdown in Sura Jamaat. of these, one has been registered in Bhavnagar, two in Mehsana and three in Gandhinagar.
       Strict actions are taken against individuals spreading rumors or fake news on social media.14 more crimes have been registered for spreading rumors on social media yesterday. So far 306 crimes have been registered and 606 accused have been arrested.
       Detailing on the law and order in the state Mr. Jha said that, 276 crimes were registered yesterday with the help of a drone and 61 crimes were registered yesterday with the help of CCTV. A total of 12754 people have been arrested so far under 5839 offenses. Through CCTV 1756people have been arrested, registering 974 crimes. In addition, 18 different social media accounts have been blocked.
       Monitoring the cameras in residential societies, 24 persons have been arrested in five such cases of lockdown breach. 
     Cases that have been registered so far which include 2417 of the violation of lockdown 943 against violating home quarantine and 446 other cases. 5346individuals have been booked and 2680 vehicles have been seized, added Mr. Jha
